When I first used the internet, nearly 20 years ago, it smelled like Windows XP and various creepypasta sites. I remember the sensation of rainbows literally being blasted from the monitor into my face.
Fast forward to 2026, and the internet feels far too commercial. With every click, someone is trying to sell you something. Not even on social media can we find peace: endless ads, scroll down, scroll down, scroll down, more poorly made ads and “personal” profiles that are actually corporate fronts. I don’t have fun here like I used to, and it’s not the fault of “adult life” (people love using that excuse).
Driven by this dissatisfaction, I decided to create this blog to try and recapture that old feeling. If there are others who share this frustration with today’s internet, you can make this a laid-back place to talk about all sorts of things.
I don’t have intention of making this blog a commercial venture in the future or a storefront for any type of service. While I might eventually share things I’m working on, it won’t be to promote absolutely anything. So, don’t expect tracking pixels or ads on these pages, let alone AI trying to learn about you and your behavior.
You can expect posts about:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Computing and gaming
- Good home-cooked recipes
- Short stories or sagas
- Memes and plenty of nonsense
That’s all for now. Take care, and see you around.
